Our story began with one woman's entrepreneurial spirit. Myrtle, lovingly known as "The Tax Lady," started helping her family and co-workers with their tax returns, turning her passion into a thriving family-owned business. Even after losing her eyesight, Myrtle persevered, completing detailed handwritten returns with the help of her children, nieces, and nephews. Her resilience and expertise built a loyal client base, with hundreds trusting her year after year.

Myrtle's dedication was more than business—it was about passing on knowledge, opportunity and creating a legacy. Her nephew Kraig first assisted her at age 13, sparking his lifelong passion for taxes. With Myrtle's guidance, Kraig pursued his own credentials, earning a Business Administration degree and a Juris Doctorate. When Myrtle passed, Kraig honored her legacy by continuing the business under the name AM Income Tax—"AM" for "Aunt Myrtle"—and upholding the tradition of family-style service. For over 30 years, AM Income Tax has proudly served the community, combining expertise, integrity, and a family-oriented touch.
